Chat modes
You pick a mode before you send. It changes how DentroChat answers and the accent color of the app. The three buttons sit just above the message box. The selected one is filled in with that mode’s color.
You can switch modes at any time. The next answer uses the mode that is selected when you send.
Fast
Fast gives quick, concise answers. Choose it when you know what you want and need a short answer, such as a definition or a quick rewrite.
Thinking
Thinking is for problems that need careful reasoning, such as a calculation or a comparison of options.
All three modes can use tools, such as web search and running code. Thinking gives each answer more room for tool steps than the other modes do. If a task is still unfinished, send a follow-up and it continues with a fresh allowance.
Creative
Creative is for original writing and brainstorming, such as a first draft or a list of name ideas. Use Fast or Thinking when you want an answer kept tight.
The color follows the mode
Each mode has its own accent color:
- Fast is Alpenglow Orange
- Thinking is Fjord Blue
- Creative is Lucid Green
The accents across the app shift to that color when you switch. The color helps you see which mode you are in at a glance.
