Copy a message

When DentroChat writes a helpful reply, you often want to use that text in another app, such as an email or a document. The copy button puts the full message on your clipboard so you can paste it wherever you need it.

You can copy replies from DentroChat, and you can also copy messages that you wrote yourself.

On a computer

Hover over the message and click Copy message, which is the copy icon next to Reply. If you are hovering over one of your own messages, you will find it between Reply and Edit.

As soon as you click it, the icon turns into a checkmark and says Copied, which means the text is ready to paste.

Keep in mind that the button only copies the text of the message. If a photo or document is attached to that message, it stays in the chat, so you will need to open the file itself if you want to download it.

On a phone

On a phone, tap the message to open the menu and choose Copy. The icon briefly turns into a checkmark to confirm that the text was copied, and the menu closes automatically.
