Edit an image

You might have a photo of your room and want to see how a different wall color would look like. Or you generated a picture and like most of it, but one detail needs to change. If you’d describe the whole picture again and create a new image, it would produce a new image with a different look. So sometimes it’s better to ask DentroChat to change the image you have.

Write clearly that you want to change the picture. If you ask for a new picture of the same subject, DentroChat might create a new one from scratch.

Edit a photo you uploaded

A cursor types a change to a generated picture and sends it. The sent message stays visible for a moment, then DentroChat shows Editing image and the edited picture appears in the reply.

Attach the photo with the paperclip button, as explained in Upload images and files. Then describe the change in the message box, e.g. “make the wall a soft green”, and send the message.

While the change is being made, DentroChat shows Editing image. The edited photo appears in the reply and in the chat’s Workspace.

Edit a picture DentroChat made

You do not need to attach anything for this. In the same chat, send a message where you explain the change e.g. “make the sky darker”. DentroChat finds the existing picture in the chat and edits it.

Because the picture is already part of the chat, you can keep asking for changes one after another. Each edit appears as a new picture in the reply.

What to know

DentroChat can edit one or more images. If you want to change two pictures, just tell it DentroChat.

An edited picture keeps the proportions of the original.
